What data we process
When you visit this website, our hosting provider processes technical access data (IP address, time, page requested, browser). This data serves the secure delivery of the website and the prevention of attacks.
If you use the enquiry form, we process the details you provide: dates, number of guests, name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message. We use these details solely to answer your enquiry and to prepare an offer.
Hosting and form processing
The website and the enquiry form run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare processes data in data centres worldwide, including in Switzerland and the EU. For transfers to the USA we rely on the standard contractual clauses concluded by Cloudflare and its certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Enquiries from the form are transmitted encrypted and stored in a Cloudflare data store until we have answered them, for a maximum of 90 days. After that they are deleted automatically. Subsequent correspondence takes place by email or phone.
Cookies, local settings and analytics
Your settings for appearance, text size and language are stored locally in your browser only and are not transmitted to us. No consent is needed for these, because they never leave the site.
We also measure how the site is used. Two services do this: Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) collects pseudonymous usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location and device. Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited) additionally records anonymised session replays and heatmaps, meaning mouse movement, clicks and scrolling; input fields are masked by default.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a comprehensible, working website (Art. 31 para. 1 FADP). You can switch the measurement off at any time using the "Turn analytics off" link in the footer; your choice is stored locally in your browser, and neither service is loaded after that. Both providers may process data outside Switzerland and the EU; Google Analytics retains data for 14 months.
Disclosure to third parties
We pass on your data only where necessary to fulfil your enquiry (for example to the owner of the requested apartment) or where we are legally obliged to do so.
Your rights
You have the right to information about your personal data, to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, and to data portability. Please contact support@shsservice.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
We may amend this privacy policy at any time. The version published on this website applies.
